Christmas Card Crafting with Friends
Hello Everyone,
Yesterday afternoon I spent a great couple of hours crafting with Gill, a friend of mine whom I had introduced to crafting a few years back and we ended our craft session by doing a video tutorial to share with you!
We made these Gate-Fold Cards using a Sizzix Bigz Die called Reindeer W/ Antlers, a couple of Wreath Stamps from Stampin Up and a sheet music Embossing Folder!
Gate Fold Card. 9" Long x 6" wide. Score at 2 1/4" & 6 3/4"
Once folded add a panel of patterned paper to cover the front panels and over that add the embossed panel!
Stamp up a Wreath image (we used Wondrous Wreath and Wonderful Wreath by Stampin up) and add Red Berries! Cut out the wreath with the matching Framelits set or fussy cut with scissors!
Add a piece of Red Ribbon ans make a bow! Then add the Reindeer Die cut, attaching it to the card with foam pads!
Attach this panel using double side tape to one half of the card panel and stick down onto the card base!
Check out our video for more details!
Here are a couple of other designs using the Reindeer Die Cuts!
Check out my shop (Link above) if you would like to purchase some die cut for yourself!

Christmas is Coming....... Time to decorate the Tree!
Hello There,
Well the last couple of weeks here at the homestead have been pretty busy with a lot of DIY projects underway. My husband also decided to put more insulation in the attic so I haven't had much time to craft!
So over the weekend after a surprise visit from my daughter, I decided I had better get back into my Craft Studio and Create!
Here is what I have created to share with you! (There is also a video to go alongside the instructions)!
Vellum Flameless Candle Lanterns for the Tree or Table!
List of Materials needed!
1 piece of Vellum Card Stock ( Measures 9" x 4" or 22.9cm x 10.2cm)
1 piece of Card Stock (Measures 2" x 2" or 5.1cm x 5.1cm) for the inside of the base of the Lantern to stick your candle to.
Glue Dots
Score Board & Score Tool (or a thick wad of paper or mouse pad)
Bone Folder
Ruler & Pen
1 Flameless Candle
Extra's to decorate the Lantern
Embossing Folder
Boarder Punch
Coloured Inks
Die Cuts
GemsImportant Info! If you choose to decorate your Vellum with Stamps and Inks, now is the time to do this before you score the lines so that you get an even stamped image! If you want to emboss the Vellum, score before so that you get straight score lines! |
2. Score first along the 9" side. 3/4"-3 1/2" - 5 1/2" - 8 1/4" |
3. Turn your Vellum and score on the 4" side at 1" & 3" |

Colouring,Stamping with Inks to change your White Ribbons
Hello There and Welcome to my Craft Blog!
Today I have been 'Playing' with my stash of white Ribbons and a couple of different types of Inks.
This all came about as I was thinking about Christmas and what colours I was going to be using this year! Looking through my ribbons I realized that I had collected quite a lot of plain white in different types and thought about ways I could add colour, stamp images to make bespoke Ribbon for my Christmas Projects.
So after trying out a couple of different ink techniques to change the colour of my Ribbon, I came up with a comparison list showing which Ribbons I think works better for this technique.
So please take a look at the video I made to show you a couple of the ink techniques I used and check out my Comparison List.
Happy Crafting,
Sue xx

Here are all the items I used to create the card above!
For more details please check out my video in Crafting Tips from Me to You!(You will find the videos on the headings bar)!

Dazzling Diamonds Napkin Technique
Hello there,
Today I have a Technique to share with you on how to put together a,
'In a Hurry' Greetings Card!
How many times have you needed to send a greetings card out in a hurry but don't have the time to spare to make a Wow card, well I think you might just like this idea!
Napkins come in so many different designs and colours and can be used to make wonderfully quick cards! No need to get out your stamps and inks for this one!
So, here is what you will need to make this type of card!
* Napkin
* Card base & Card -Stock for layering
* Double Sided Adhesive Sheet & a piece of Card the same size!
* VersaMark
* Heat & Stick Powder
* Dazzling Diamonds
*Snail Adhesive / Tombo Glue
* Framelits to Die Cut your Napkin (If you want a different shape)& Die Cut machine
* Heat Gun
* Sentiment Stamp Set & Ink if needed
What to do!
(Check out my Me to You Video Crafting Tip 39)!
Cut the adhesive sheet, card stock & napkin to the size you need!
The napkin will be made up of three layers, take away the 2 plain layers! Hold on to these as they will come in useful of cleaning up spill, cleaning your clear block, cleaning your hands etc!
Take the adhesive sheet and remove the top protective layer and attach it to the card stock. Then take off the other protective layer and lay the napkin on top, smoothing it out on the card!
Use the VersaMark pad to lay down the ink all over the napkin!
Sprinkle the heat and stick powder all over the napkin, taking off the excess powder,then use your heat gun to melt the powder!
Once the powder has all melted (the napkin image will look vibrant) sprinkle Dazzling Diamonds over the napkin! Again take off any excess!
Take your heat gun again to the napkin to reheat the powders! The DD will start to shimmer slightly when you do this!
Put your napkin to one side and get your card base ready, stamp out a sentiment!
Your napkin should be cool by now so if you want to, you can put it through your die cut machine or just trim the napkin down to size!
Attach it to your card base, add the sentiment and you have a card ready to send!
As the adhesive sheets come in a 12"x12" size, and some napkins fold out to the same size you could make a batch of cards in one go!
Just cut the finished napkin to the sizes you require!
If you would like to order any of the above items above please contact me!

How to make yourself a Tiny Bow!
Good Evening Crafters!
Today I shared another Crafting Tip from Me to You and I thought it would be a good idea to put some still photo's on here to help you make a bow on a fork or comb!
Now, i'm a visual learner and although I follow video's, I sometimes need to look at a photo for more detail, especially if the video is a little to quick on some stages!
Here's the link to the video!
I hope these steps help you!

Feeling Orange! Card for the day!
Hello there, Thanks for stopping by!
Today I felt that I needed some colour so decided to create an ' Bright and Breezy Card'.
Orange is one of my favorite colours, it always picks me up so that was the colour chosen!
I had purchased some hessian a little while ago so decided I wanted to incorporate it into the card design so used it as a top layer for the card!
I rounded the corners to match the card base and first layer of the card-stock. I then pulled some threads out of the sides of piece of hessian to give it a frayed look!
The Flowers have been made using two of the Stamping Up Scallop Punches (1 1/4" & 7/8") and the white center flowers were punched from The Boho Blossoms Punch!
I used Linen Thread to decorate the smaller scallops and the new Thick Bakers Gold Twine for the larger scallops!

I die cut three sets of leaves from some retired SU paper and then took some basic rhinestones and coloured them in using an alcohol marker to match the colour of the card-stock.
The ribbon down the left hand side of the card was coloured with SU Pumpkin Pie ink then attached to the hessian with double sided tape! Just before I stuck the ribbon down, I tied a few of the stands of hessian thread I previously pulled out of the main panel to create a embellishment with one of the smaller flowers over the top!
After making this card it got me thinking about an alternative way to make some of the flowers without punches so you can see how I did it in this video, Crafting Tip from Me to You!
I hope you will give it a go!
